Monarch Mix Food Plot Seed

Monarch Mix is a multi-season food plot seed blend that pairs first-year brassica draw with a perennial chicory and clover base. You get tonnage the first fall from the turnips, plus a chicory and clover foundation that can keep producing for several seasons with maintenance.

What's in the Monarch Mix food plot seed bag: 

50% turnips, 20% coated chicory, 20% coated red clover, and 10% coated Ladino clover. The turnips establish fast and carry the first season. Chicory is a hardy perennial that can produce for three to five years in the right ground. Ladino clover is a perennial that can persist four to five years, and red clover adds fast-establishing forage that typically runs two to three years. The chicory and clover are coated to aid establishment, so part of their weight is coating, not live seed.

When to plant Monarch Mix food plot seed: 

Late summer to early fall works for the brassica component and gives the perennials time to root before winter. A spring planting also works if you want to establish the chicory and clover base first.
